At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang introduced an impressive slate of innovations. The company revealed its new GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs—featuring the high-end RTX 5090 priced at $1,999 launching in January and the mid-range RTX 5070 at $549 debuting in February—powered by the new Blackwell AI chip. These GPUs promise significant advancements in AI-driven rendering for gamers, developers, and creators. In addition, Huang unveiled the Cosmos AI models, capable of generating photo-realistic videos to efficiently train robots and automated services.
The event also highlighted Nvidia’s strategic moves into automotive and AI computing. Nvidia announced a partnership with Toyota to develop next-generation autonomous vehicles using Nvidia’s DriveOS, while Aurora is set to launch driverless trucks in April 2025 powered by Nvidia hardware. Alongside these, the introduction of Project DIGITS—a $3,000 desktop computer for AI enthusiasts due in May—demonstrates Nvidia’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of both gaming and AI performance.
