Japanese space debris removal firm Astroscale has partnered with Indian companies Digantara and Bellatrix Aerospace to develop orbital technologies and services. The collaboration is designed to bid for Indian clients within one to two years and marks Astroscale’s first expansion into the Asia-Pacific region outside of Japan, as reported on March 21, 2025.
This strategic alliance comes amid India’s recent policy liberalization in the space sector, which is spurring increased private participation and the establishment of a dedicated fund to support space startups. In addition to this partnership, Astroscale is exploring further market opportunities in South Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, and Australia, while also undertaking missions with JAXA and serving orders from U.S., British, and French space agencies.
