Dean Hall, the creator of DayZ and CEO of RocketWerkz, is developing Kitten Space Agency (KSA), a new space simulation game inspired by Kerbal Space Program. The game features cat-astronauts and aims to capture the spirit of space engineering and exploration, while also providing a free educational version to inspire young enthusiasts. Currently in its pre-alpha stage, Hall and his team are focused on resolving key technical challenges before making any public announcements.
Recent coverage has highlighted the growing interest in KSA. PC Gamer reported on March 21, 2025, noting Hall's passion for space and gaming, while Neowin added on March 28, 2025, that RocketWerkz has even brought on board several original KSP developers and modders to help build what some are calling a 'KSP killer'. Earlier reports from Helm on October 31, 2024, mentioned that the project also draws from previously rejected concepts from KSP2, illustrating the ambition behind this innovative title.
