Kyle Vogt, the former CEO of Cruise, has raised $150 million in a new funding round led by Greenoaks for his robotics startup, The Bot Company. This fresh injection of capital landed the startup a valuation of $2 billion, despite the firm being less than a year old and still without a market-ready product or revenue.
The company, co-founded by Vogt alongside Paril Jain and Luke Holoubek (former Tesla and Cruise engineers), is focused on developing AI-powered robots for household tasks. Early interest in the robotics sector, which saw VC funding reach $6.1 billion last year, continues to drive optimism about The Bot Company’s potential. Notably, this funding follows an earlier round in which the company was valued at $550 million, illustrating the rapidly growing confidence among investors.
