EU to Invest $1.4 Billion in AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Skills

The European Commission has announced an investment of 1.3 billion euros (approximately $1.4 billion) in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital skills as part of its Digital Europe Programme running from 2025 to 2027. This funding aims to help secure European technological sovereignty while enhancing digital competences across the continent.

Digital chief Henna Virkkunen stressed that advanced technology and improved skills are essential to compete on a global scale.
