NVIDIA has launched the Cosmos World Foundation Model Platform, an advanced AI toolkit designed for developing physical AI systems such as robotics and autonomous vehicles. The platform offers pre-trained world foundation models and tools to generate photorealistic, physics-based synthetic data for training and evaluating AI models.
At CES 2025 and later detailed at GTC 2025, CEO Jensen Huang highlighted Cosmos’ capabilities, including generative models, advanced tokenizers, and an accelerated video processing pipeline. These innovations aim to reduce development costs and accelerate the creation of controllable, predictive environments for physical AI development as demonstrated by early adoptions from robotics companies and automotive innovators.
