A survey of 2,000 Americans predicts that avoiding processed foods, embracing healthy aging, improving gut health, and integrating technology in healthcare will be key health trends in 2025.

A recent survey of 2,000 Americans finds that cutting out processed foods, engaging in healthy aging practices, and improving gut health are expected to be among the leading health trends in 2025. According to the survey, 34% of respondents plan to eliminate processed foods, 33% are set on adopting healthy aging activities, and 22% are focusing on better digestion and gut health. These findings were reported across several outlets in January 2025, including Newsweek and KHQ.

In addition to dietary and lifestyle changes, 22% of Americans foresee an increased integration of wearable technology in healthcare, while 21% expect artificial intelligence to play a larger role in medical advancements. The study also noted that, on average, Americans rate their holistic health as 6 out of 10 and that 90% of those surveyed have made health-related resolutions for 2025, with 53% planning to work out more and 49% aiming to maintain a healthy weight.
