On April 2, 2025, BlackBerry announced a forecast for a decline in its fiscal 2026 revenue, attributing the downturn to weak demand for its cybersecurity services. The company now projects annual revenue between $504 million and $534 million, down from $534.9 million from the previous year, with the cybersecurity unit expected to generate between $230 million and $240 million—well below last year's $272.6 million.
This revenue drop comes as enterprises continue to cut back on technology spending and implement cost optimization measures. In addition, BlackBerry’s fourth-quarter revenue fell to $141.7 million from $152.9 million in the comparable period, and the company recently sold its Cylance business to Arctic Wolf for $160 million, allowing it to concentrate on higher-growth areas.
