Nashville Library Unveils Comprehensive Oral History of Music Row

The Nashville Public Library has recently unveiled an expansive oral history project that documents the evolution of Music Row. Initiated in 2015 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the project features in-depth interviews with 35 industry insiders who have been close observers of the iconic music corridor since the 1940s. The collection is available both online and at the library’s special collections section.

This effort builds on past oral history projects by the library, which have covered significant events such as the 2010 flood, the Civil Rights Movement, and the rich contributions of military veterans.
