Christine Sinclair, the world’s top international goal scorer, has joined Vancouver Rise FC as a co-owner alongside majority owner Greg Kerfoot. The announcement, confirmed on October 7, 2024, comes as the club prepares for the inaugural Northern Super League season set to debut in April 2025, featuring teams from Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Halifax.
After a storied 12-season career with Portland Thorns in the NWSL—including an astounding 190 international goals for Canada—Sinclair recently announced her retirement. Now, she is channeling her passion to inspire the next generation by encouraging young girls in British Columbia and across Canada to envision a future in sports, both on and off the field.
