Houston Dynamo has added valuable depth to its goalkeeping lineup by acquiring 31-year-old Jonathan Bond from Watford FC in England. Bond, who signed a contract through 2026 with an option for 2027, will serve as the domestic roster replacement for injured goalkeeper Andrew Tarbell, who is sidelined for the season due to a knee injury.

The keeper brings a wealth of experience to the team. He started 89 MLS matches for LA Galaxy between 2021 and 2023 and has accumulated 214 professional appearances during his career, which also includes stints at Reading FC and West Bromwich Albion. Dynamo President Pat Onstad has praised Bond’s shot-stopping skills, his ability to play out from the back, and his command of the penalty area. (Reuters, 2025-04-11)
