At Google Cloud Next 2025 in Las Vegas, Alphabet and Google unveiled significant advancements in both cloud computing and AI technologies. Among the key announcements were Ironwood, Google’s seventh-generation TPU delivering up to 42.5 exaflops, and the expansion of the Gemini family with Gemini 2.5 Pro and Flash, which offer enhanced multimodal reasoning and simulation capabilities. Google's AI-first strategy was further highlighted by updates to AI Studio, Vertex AI, and Workspace, which now include automated analysis and multimedia generation features.
During the event on April 8-9, 2025, the company also introduced Agentspace, a platform enabling the development and management of multi-agent systems through a dedicated Agent Development Kit and a cross-model Agent2Agent communication protocol. New security enhancements were also presented with the launch of GUS, a unified security platform integrating AI-driven threat detection and automated response tools. Strategic partnerships, including one with Sphere Entertainment to adapt The Wizard of Oz for immersive viewing, and discussions on sustainable data centers and sovereign AI systems, further underscored Google Cloud’s commitment to innovation and global accessibility.
