Sherree Goldstein is gearing up to open Pittsburgh’s first bar exclusively dedicated to women’s sports next month. Named Title 9 after the groundbreaking 1972 law that ensures gender equity in education, the bar is located in East Liberty next to her popular Square Cafe. Goldstein’s vision comes as women’s sports gain increasing viewership and prominence, even as they’ve been traditionally underrepresented in bars.

Title 9 will feature eight large-screen TVs, a spacious rooftop patio, and expansive garage windows, creating an inviting atmosphere for Pittsburgh’s diverse sports fans. With plans to host special March Madness pop-ups and an official opening slated for mid-April following staff training and hiring, the venue is part of a growing nationwide trend of women’s sports bars set to quadruple in number this year.
