On March 26, 2025, Rivian Automotive announced the spin-off of its new startup, Also, which has secured $105 million in Series B funding from Eclipse. The company is set to leverage Rivian’s advanced electric vehicle technology to develop lightweight EVs designed for the expanding micromobility market, including segments such as electric bikes, scooters, motorcycles, and three-wheelers.
Also will operate independently while maintaining partial ownership by Rivian, with plans to debut its flagship product in the U.S. and Europe by 2026. The startup’s future roadmap includes tailoring vehicles for markets in Asia and South America, as it aims to offer small, affordable, and sustainable transportation solutions across diverse regions.
