Florida State junior guard Ta'Niya Latson, the nation’s leading Division I scorer this season, is formally entering the transfer portal. In 29 games, she averaged 25.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists, earning a spot on the second-team All-American squad. Her agents at Klutch Sports Group confirmed via ESPN on March 27, 2025, that Latson is keeping all her options open.

Latson’s decision comes at a time of transition for the Seminoles as senior stars Makayla Timpson and O'Mariah Gordon have departed the team. With career averages of 22.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.8 steals in 93 games, the junior has also garnered accolades such as being named the ACC Rookie of the Year in 2022-23 and achieving three All-ACC selections. The potential for a lucrative Name, Image and Likeness deal elsewhere further underscores the significance of her move.
