Microsoft Integrates 11 AI Agents into Security Tools

Microsoft announced plans to roll out 11 AI agents within its security-focused Copilot next month to reduce repetitive tasks and burnout among cybersecurity teams. Six agents developed by Microsoft and five by partner companies will be previewed in its security tools. The agents, capable of learning from issues like false positive flags to avoid recurring errors, are part of an effort fueled by customer feedback and rigorous internal testing. At Ignite 2024, Microsoft introduced its concept of Agentic AI, systems that adapt in real-time and take pre-approved actions without requiring constant human input. Similar to integrations seen in platforms like CrowdStrike’s, these agents not only automate routine tasks but also evolve their tactics based on new data, promising faster threat detection and mitigation.
