Six Flags Over Georgia officially opened the 2025 season on March 14 with the debut of the Georgia Gold Rusher, a state-of-the-art coaster designed to thrill. This innovative ride takes guests on a heart-pounding journey along a 590-foot U-shaped track, reaching speeds up to 60 mph and ascending as high as 144 feet. Its free-spinning gondola seating and dynamic water features create a unique experience that blends the excitement of a roller coaster with the refreshing elements of a water ride.
Inspired by Georgia’s late-1800s gold rush, the attraction introduces the fictional character William "Willy" Gibson, a spirited gold prospector who invites riders to join him on his hydraulic mining machine. Initially slated for a 2024 debut under a different name, the ride was rebranded and upgraded to deliver an even more immersive and thematic adventure for visitors this season.
