Sony Pictures has announced four distinct biopics focusing on each member of The Beatles, with premieres set for April 2028. The films will feature Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Directed by Sam Mendes—the mastermind behind what he calls the 'first binge-able theatrical experience'—these movies were unveiled during CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas.

The announcement, made on April 1, 2025, highlights an innovative approach to storytelling in cinema by offering different perspectives on the iconic band's history. In addition to the Beatles project, the event featured presentations from notable filmmakers such as Danny Boyle and the team behind Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Despite the promise of creative film experiences, Sony noted that the box office has experienced an 11% decline from 2024 and a 40% drop from 2019, prompting calls for innovative strategies to attract audiences and extend cinema runs.
