Russian military bloggers have documented heavy clashes, with reports indicating fighting near areas such as Popovka and the use of drone strikes, as noted in accounts from March 2025.
In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that prior attempts by Ukrainian forces to breach Belgorod had been thwarted.
