On April 1, 2025, SpaceX launched its Fram2 mission—a pioneering polar orbit flight carrying a private crew of four. Led by crypto entrepreneur Chun Wang, a Maltese investor and Chinese-born bitcoin magnate, the mission lifted off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida aboard the Crew Dragon capsule.

The three- to five-day journey will see the crew, including Norwegian film director Jannicke Mikkelsen, German robotics researcher Rabea Rogge, and Australian adventurer Eric Philips, conduct 22 experiments focused on the effects of spaceflight on the human body. The mission, which also marks SpaceX’s sixth private astronaut flight and 16th crewed flight with the Crew Dragon, is noted for its novel pole-to-pole trajectory and innovative approach to private space exploration.
