Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on March 29, 2025, called for a robust Western response to nearly daily Russian drone attacks that have devastated parts of Ukraine. During his remarks, he noted that a recent mass strike on Kharkiv resulted in casualties and that of 172 drones launched, 94 were successfully intercepted. Zelenskiy emphasized that these ongoing bombardments not only endanger lives but also complicate international efforts to broker a peace deal.

In addition to detailing the human cost of these attacks, Zelenskiy urged the United States, Europe, and other international powers to take decisive action. His call for increased support comes as talks over ceasefire agreements and defensive measures continue amidst the broader dynamics of the conflict, with additional efforts focused on strengthening Ukraine’s military and intelligence ties with its allies.
